Why Converse College.

1. Not too many people in my family attended college so they really taught me the importance of continuing education after High School and giving myself more opportunities. I've always wanted to pursue a career in music, which is a hard thing to achieve without college.

2. I decided to attend Converse College because of it's music programs, specifically music therapy. Also, it is very close to home incase I ever get home sick!!

3. Like I said before, I've always wanted to pursue a career in music, which is why I choose to go into the music program at Converse College. Music has not always been a big part of my families life but it has been a major part in mine. I couldn't imagine myself going to college for anything else.

4. If I were a muffet I would be Mr. Snuffleupagus just because he's always been my favorite. I would most definitely play the banjo ( I already do)!!

  1. Welcome to Converse and our SSS class, Kayla! Congratulations for being among the few in your family to choose to attend college. It really is a life-altering experience--you will not be the same person after the next four years.

As to your blog, there are a couple of very important things you will need to do differently on your next blog post. 1.) Review your syllabus and take note of the word count that is expected. The word count of 300 words makes sure that you dig a bit deeper into each topic, and you will want to meet that count in order to receive a higher grade AND get as much out of your blog writings as possible. 2.) You will need to proofread much more thoroughly. Pay special attention to common mistakes that Word Spellcheck doesn't always catch--"its" vs. "it's," plural vs. possessive, etc.

I'm sure that your journey through the music therapy degree will be an interesting and enlightening one. :-)

    And again, Welcome!

  2. That's SO cool you play the banjo! I didn't know that. I admire your value of a college education and your perseverance to get a college degree. You are such a talented individual and I know you will go far in a musical career. I can't wait to go through the music therapy program with you!

  3. Yes I do agree with you, that in order to have a career in music you need to go to college. Unless your someone like Justin Beiber or Miley Cyrus... :{ Or you are just born into it. I also believe that college gives you many more opportunities and can generally help make your career happier. I don't know much about music therapy but I do have plenty of friend who want to make this world better through that study (which I think is so awesome but just not for me). Like you music has not been a huge part in my family's life but they have all experienced it in a way (except for on my moms side, she always wanted me to be a doctor... or a lawyer) But like you I can't see myself doing anything else and being truly happy.

I like how the font is big and easy to read. That might also be because I'm tired -.-*

:} I also think your journey to happiness will be a good one <3
